Saskatoon Alliance Academy League Information and Tryout Registration

Good afternoon, 

Registration is now open for Under 17 (players born 2009/2010) & Under 19 (players born 2007/2008) Saskatoon Alliance Academy League tryouts. The Alliance Academy league provides players from across Saskatoon and surrounding area an opportunity to play 11v11 in the Indoor season. SYSI is proud to offer meaningful league opportunities to players which foster a safe and positive competitive environment, creating a sense of belonging focused on fun, respect, inclusion, and fair and ethical participation.

ID2025-26 Saskatoon Alliance Academy League Tryout & Team Selection:

Eligibility: All players interested in trying out for the Saskatoon Alliance Academy League teams need to be age eligible unless recommended in writing to info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca to play up in age by their Technical Director. Any players wanting to participate in the Alliance Academy League evaluations are not required to be registered and participating in the current SYSI Outdoor season.

Deadline: Register by Wed Aug 20 with a fee of $65 to SYSI. Early bird pricing is available until Wed Aug 13, 11:59 PM for a fee of $45. Only those registered by the end of day on Wed Aug 20 with payment will be accepted into the tryout. Players who are sick or injured and can’t attend tryouts must contact the office, info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca, prior to the registration deadline.

ID2025-26 Saskatoon Alliance Academy League Fees & Season Details:

Saskatoon Alliance Offer Acceptance: Selected players will be notified by Fri Aug 29 and will need to submit $2485 to secure their spot on the team by Tues Sept 2. Families will be provided with the option to pay the full amount at the time of registration or arrange a payment plan by credit card via RAMP or through the office if they are not able to set up a plan on RAMP. Players unable to commit financially will need to complete and submit the SYSI funding form and supporting documents Tues Sept 2 to determine financial eligibility.

If at any time during the season, communication with the office regarding fees owing is not received then Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. has the right to suspend participation until communication is received with an established plan or all outstanding fees due at the point are paid. 

The deadline to submit all league fees is Fri Jan 30 at which point any player with outstanding fees, unless there has been prior communication with the office, the player will be unable to train and/or play until the outstanding balance has been resolved.

Please note, starting Indoor 2025-26, all Saskatoon Alliance Academy League players are required to have an Alliance tracksuit and backpack. However, if a player does not need one or both of these items, families will receive a promo code to apply a discount to their total checkout fee. 

Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. Refund Policy:

  • In the case of serious injury or illness, athletes are eligible to receive a full refund for the number of training sessions and/or games missed. A doctor’s note is required. This only applies in situations where the athlete will miss more than 30 consecutive days of training.
  • Families who relocate more than 50km away and can no longer attend training and/or games will receive a full refund for the remaining training sessions and/or games.
  • Program withdrawals more than 14 days prior to the program start date 100% of fees paid will be refunded minus an admin fee of $50 Less than 14 days before the program start date 50% of the fees paid will be refunded minus an additional admin fee of $50.
  • When the program starts, no refunds will be issued unless the family relocates or there is a serious injury or illness which requires the player to miss more than 30 consecutive days. For a serious injury and/or illness a medical note is required right after the injury and/or illness occurs, and medical advice has been sought.

Additional Fees: Team fees are in addition to Alliance Academy League fees and will be set at the start of the season by the team staff and collected by the team manager and/or team treasurer. Team fees can range from $50 to upwards of $1000 depending on the team. Team fees may include (but are not limited to) tournament entry fees, additional training, additional apparel, Team Personnel expenses for out-of-team travel for events.

FTF (TBA, 2026): ALL Saskatoon Alliance Academy League teams will be travelling to the FTF x CMF Family Day Showdown in Coquitlam, BC in February. The tournament entry fee has been included in the player fees, however travel for players and coaches will be additional fees coordinated by the team.

Training: The established player fees will cover two weekly training sessions commencing Tues Nov 3 until Fri Mar 20. Dates for training will be determined by coach.

Games:  The player fee will cover 11 games + 1 final. The games will begin on November 16, 2025, with the final scheduled for March 22, 2026.  Games will be held again at the Martensville Recreation Centre in Martensville, SK.

Playing Time Policy: It’s the player’s duty to manage their responsibilities to ensure they get the best soccer experience from their time with the program. All players must uphold SYSI Alliance & Team standards/ethics, to maximize their playing time opportunities.

Sports Science Sessions: The fees will cover one weekly training session for 15 weeks commencing in November with Ignite Athletics. Dates for training will be determined by SYSI and Ignite Athletics. All Saskatoon Alliance Academy League players will be required to attend MANDATORY fitness testing 3 times throughout the season; if you’re unable to attend, please contact Jordan at info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca.

Mental Skills Training: The fees will cover two (2) 30-min Mental training skills sessions throughout the season with Mark Epp from Pursuit Sport Mental training.

FTF x Sportsynch: Each player will gain access to Sportsync x FTF Platform. 

Alliance Academy League Coaches: Coaching assignments are not yet finalized but will be finalized shortly.
